Corporate & Commercial
We offer focused legal advice to ensure that our clients constantly comply with the ever changing legislative and regulatory framework within the areas that they operate. We have specialised qualifications and sound and considerable experience in negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and vetting of contracts. We serve clients across the whole spectrum, ranging from government entities, emerging and established companies across the SADC region. In order to minimise risks for our clients, we also conduct due diligence investigations, taking into account all facets of the transaction(s) involved.
DEPARTMENT
Labour Law
We offer holistic labour solutions to our clients. Whereas we prioritise solutions based on negotiations with all parties involved in order to maintain relationships and the good name of our clients, we do litigate and represent our clients in all courts and tribunals. These include the CCMA, Councils, Labour Court, Labour Appeal Court, Supreme Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court.
We assist clients with all aspects of employment relationship including the drafting and reviewing of employment contracts, policies, codes of conduct and systems. We also adjudicate disciplinary proceedings including the preceding notices to be served. In the event of a client opting to restructure (Corporate Restructuring), we assist with all the preparation of the notices and advise in all steps of the way.
In order to ensure that our clients have functional human resource department, we offer trainings on all aspects of employment law, including the manner of conducting a watertight disciplinary hearing and the levelling of a reasonable sanction/penalty.
We also offer an audit in terms of which we assess our clients’ compliance with relevant legislations such as the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Companies Act, BBEE, Labour Relations Act. Should we determine weaknesses, client may opt to engage our services or such other service provider to remedy the deficiency.

Banking & Insurance
We offer a wide range of services to banks, insurance companies, underwriters, including constant advice on compliance with their regulatory framework. We assist in the preparation of responses to enquiries issued by various regulators. Understanding the need to, from time-to-time deal with crisis, sparked by our clients’ relationships with the multitude of their customers, we assist clients in dealing with such volatile situations which may have dire reputational damage. We understand the need for our clients to have state of the art contacts, policy documents and protocols. We ensure that the draftsmanship is in line with international standards and our client’s brand. In alliance with our other departments, we streamline recoveries through mediated means, failing which we engage in litigation in all South African courts and tribunals. In all our endeavours, we take into consideration the overall business soundness of each decision. We are highly experienced in serving financial services providers and augment that experience with our specialised qualifications to deliver results driven and state of the art legal services.
LAW DEPARTMENT
Civil & Litigation
We offer highly competed legal services in settling civil disputes and potential litigious matters. We also resolve matters through various tribunals and courts, including specialised courts, up to the Constitutional Court. We have over the years represented, amongst others, individuals, companies, such as banks, retail stores, insurance companies, underwriters, and academic institutions. We continuously attend to foreclosure litigation, thereby gaining considerable experience in the National Credit Act, Consumer Protection Act, and relevant court related laws. We fully appreciate the need for saving costs and ensuring the speedy finalisation of matters, to enable our clients to meet their internal/personal deadlines. We are experienced in litigating on special legislations such as the National Credit Act. Our pool of attorneys has right of appearance in Superior Courts. We accordingly only engage the services of Advocates where same is desirable and authorised by our clients.

Property Development, Conveyancing & Notarial Services
We offer comprehensive services in property developments, including performing due diligence, drafting and negotiating of contracts, including PPPs. We are currently working on multibillion PPPs mixed use and renewable energy projects in Southern Africa regions. We also offer full conveyancing and notarial services.
